**What Will You Do?**

As a Chart Analyst at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. The Chart Analyst, under the direct supervision of the HIM Manager and HIM Lead, is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing, documenting imaging, and quality validation of medical records. The Chart Analyst will monitor the appropriate work queues and systems to identify, resolve and validate documents and data as needed. Responsible for communicating with end-users to ensure effective resolution to documentation and data integrity issues. **Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Must be able to work and communicate effectively with providers, employees, and other departments, as needed.
- Appropriately interact with the hospital administrators, directors, and department leads.
- Will be required to work in a highly confidential area without disclosure of confidential information.
- Ensures timely and accurate processing of all HRS inpatient and partial hospitalization records.
- Assigns electronic and paper-based deficiencies to providers for missing signatures and documents.
- Scans and indexes all necessary paper documents to the HRS EHR system.
- Validates accuracy and quality of scanned record information.

**What Does This Role Require?**
- Required high school diploma
- Preferred Associate’s degree in Health Information or Administration.
- Preferred 1-3 years medical record experience
- Previous knowledge of HIPAA and Michigan Mental Health Code
- Additional training may be required through formal education or through seminars.
