**Job Description: Air Export Agent**
**Overview**:
The Air Freight & Logistics Agent coordinates air freight shipments, ensuring service commitments align with client requirements and company objectives. This role serves as a liaison among customers, vendors, warehouse personnel, and government agencies.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the entire air freight operation.
- Prepare necessary documentation such as packing lists, invoices, certificates of origin, phytosanitary certificates, and airway bills (AWB).
- Plan and coordinate space for shipments.
- Track shipments from origin to destination.
- Communicate with customers for shipping instructions and updates.
- Liaise with local county agriculture authorities and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Agriculture.
- Coordinate deliveries and provide order information to the warehouse.
- Input data, file, and process necessary documentation.
- Maintain and assist in service relations with clients and other offices.
- Provide excellent customer service to vendors, shippers, and agents, ensuring customers receive daily updates.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external government regulations, including TSA, USCBP, and USDA requirements.
- Monitor security in the Designated Screening Area (DSA) of the warehouse and challenge unauthorized or unescorted individuals
**About You**:
- **Education and Experience**: You preferably hold an Associate’s degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school. Alternatively, you have two to three years of related experience in brokerage and custom compliance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- **Language Skills**: You have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. You can respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints and present information clearly, responding to questions from managers, clients, and customers. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
- **Reasoning Ability**: You excel at solving practical problems and can interpret various instructions, whether written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled.
- **Competencies and Attributes**: You possess strong communication and organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. You are adept at solving logístical problems and are a team player who can multitask in a fast-paced environment. You maintain a professional and courteous phone manner, and have proficiency in world geography, export documentation, and Incoterms.
- **Computer Skills**: You are proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and the Internet.
