**Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and monitor processes for the review and timely submission of grant and contract proposals to funding agencies.
- Identify issues in pre-award workflows, provides recommendations to leadership for resolution, and works with the appropriate offices for implementation of solutions.
- Collaborate with other institutional offices to develop and maintain resources/programs to support researchers with the development and writing of quality grant proposals.
- Assist in the review of proposed cost-share commitments, Facilities and Administrative (F&A) waivers, and other requests and make recommendation for approval or non-approval.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics for pre-award activities.
- Track grant and contract proposals, collect and share proposal data with leadership and Vice President of Research Operations.
- Provide guidance, technical expertise, and training to Research Administrators and Principal Investigators on complex pre-award and contractual sponsored project compliance matters such as budgeting, cost allowability, PI and other key personnel eligibility and changes.
- Serve as a backup in the review of outgoing grant and contract proposals for institutional approval prior to submission to funding agencies.
- Has the authority to direct and support employees' daily work activities; has the direct responsibility to undertake the following employment activities: hiring, termination, corrective action, and perform review.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree required. 5-8 years of related work experience and 2 years of supervisory experience required in a research environment
- Experience with budget development
- Experience with proposal submissions to federal funding agencies and other sponsor institutions
- Broad understanding of college, university and sponsored research environment
- Skills, both written and oral, with ability to interact with all levels actively and professionally within the organization

Pay: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
