As an Overhead Lineman Journeyman, you will be expected to have a proficient knowledge of the Overhead FPL electrical system. This requires the ability the work everything from reconducting, routine maintenance, pole setting, bucket work, tenure on the distribution switching list, and all other aspects of the distribution Overhead work. This position has expectations of managing a 3-4 man crew, the safety expectations of overseeing the crew, laying out a proficient job assessment, and the paperwork skillset needed to capture necessary documentation. This position reports to the General Foreman.

**Job Duties**:

- Upholding industry safety standards.
- Working directly in and around energized electrical equipment; (transformers, meters, powerlines, etc.)
- Switching on FPL's system.
- Skillful in use of industry unique tooling.
- The ability to perform intensive labor in demanding environments.
- Capable of taking direction from senior personnel.
- Willingness to work alongside fellow crew members
- A complete understanding and knowledge of the distribution system from substation to meter.
- Capable of training and helpers.
- Doing all other related work required of you in this position.
- Able to navigate through FPL's Portal
- Knowledge and understanding of drawings and prints.
- Filling out timesheets with great detail of daily work completion.
- As-builting drawings and prints.

**Job Requirements**
- Passing the distribution switching test and.
- CDL Class A.
- Lifting requirement of 50lbs or greater.
- Overtime in many circumstances.
- Able to work extended periods of time and travel during large storm events.
