Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring smooth operations in our medical office. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Mountain Ridge Pediatrics offers families in the Shenandoah Valley high-quality pediatric care in a supportive, family-friendly environment. We emphasize preventative healthcare with a focus on wellness, development, behavior, safety and nutrition. We see patients from newborns to young adulthood.

**Duties**:

- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Register new patients and update existing patient information in the system
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members
- Verify insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure efficient patient flow
- Utilize electronic medical record systems to input and retrieve patient data
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing their needs and concerns

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for data entry and scheduling
- Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
