- We are currently seeking a Florist Helper_ _to join our Flower Shop Team in Glendale, CA. Florist Helpers are responsible for making floral deliveries inside and outside the park. They maintain the design room and display area of the flower shop. Care and maintain the fresh flowers and bouquets. Clean and organize the refrigerator and storage areas. Make bouquets for placement orders and perform placements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Management retains the discretion to add or change the essential duties and requirements at any time.
- Drive and maintain flower shop vans (gas, water, oil, tires, etc.) making sure they are in safe running condition.
- Deliver all service flowers one hour before the service. Deliver visitation room flowers at the time requested.
- Cut and process new flowers when they come in.
- Clean refrigerators two times per week.
- Make placement bouquets and deliver them to proper location.
- Keep workroom and refrigerators neat, floor swept as much as possible to avoid any unsafe condition.
- Help clean workroom everyday on arrival and before leaving for the day.
- Clean front shop (display area) daily.
- Empty trash daily.
- Assist florist when needed to wire flowers, water plants, maintain front shop, etc.
- Maintain good communication with the public and other Forest Lawn employees.
- Make placement bouquets with mínimal supervision according to current prices.
- Drive and maintain a good driving record.
- Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Lift at least 50lbs as needed.-
- Have a valid California driver license.-
- Work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.- DRUG TESTING POLICY
- Prior to beginning employment, all job applicants who receive a job offer will be required to voluntarily submit to a drug screening test conducted by a laboratory designated by Forest Lawn. The drug screening method is a hair collection test that will detect the use of illegal drugs within the past 90 days. A positive drug test may result in the withdrawal of the job offer.
