**SUMMARY**

Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, performs routine housekeeping duties as well as minor repairs when needed.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Knowledgeable about and follows infection control/universal precautions.
- Practice general safety procedures while performing housekeeping tasks.
- Appropriately uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Employee completes daily assignment checklist.
- Ensures that waste generated within the health care facility is collected, transported and disposed of properly.
- Participates in the department's performance improvement activities.
- Maintains patient /employee confidentiality in the management of information.
- Displays courtesy, tact, and patience during interactions with all members of the staff and extended community.
- Is punctual and maintains a satisfactory attendance record.
- Employee uses equipment and supplies appropriately.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Observes the Health Care system’s compliance policies.
- Meets regulatory, licensure and annual health assessment requirements.
- Identifies learning strengths and needs.
- Utilizes learning resources.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Required minimum of (3) year experience working as a Housekeeper preferred in the Health Care field.
- Experience with cleaning equipment including extractors, floor buffers and stripping machine.
