**Title**: Clamp Truck/Material Handler

**Summary**: A clamp truck operator is responsible for operating a specialized forklift equipped with clamps instead of forks, designed for lifting and transporting materials that conventional forklifts cannot easily handle. The job description typically includes the following responsibilities:
**Clamp Truck/Material Handler (Requirements)**:

- Operating Equipment: Safely operate a clamp truck to move, stack, load, and unload materials within a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facility.
- Material Handling: Handle various types of materials such as pallets, crates, drums, and other bulky or irregularly shaped items using the clamp attachment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management by accurately recording materials received, stored, or shipped using computerized systems or manual documentation.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to materials, equipment, or property.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on the clamp truck to ensure it is in proper working condition. Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to maintenance staff for repairs.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of materials being handled by inspecting for damage, defects, or contamination during loading, unloading, or transportation.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with supervisors, coworkers, and other team members to coordinate tasks, prioritize work, and address any issues or concerns.
- Efficiency: Optimize workflow and productivity by efficiently organizing materials, prioritizing tasks, and minimizing downtime.
- Compliance: Follow company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements governing the operation of clamp trucks and the handling of materials.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other warehouse personnel, such as forklift operators, packers, and shipping/receiving staff, to ensure smooth operations and timely fulfillment of orders.
- Training and Development: Stay updated on industry best practices, safety guidelines, and equipment operation techniques through training sessions and professional development opportunities.
- Physical Demands: Be able to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve issues related to equipment malfunction, damaged materials, or operational inefficiencies to minimize disruptions and maintain productivity.
- Must be comfortable with Background and Drug screening.
