R&N has taken on both small and large-scale projects, shipping products both domestically and internationally, with greater than 95 percent of work coming from repeat customers.

R&N is currently seeking a full-time purchaser who can proficiently handle the responsibilities below.

This position is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supply chain management to make a significant impact in our procurement operations. The role involves the strategic sourcing of essential materials for ASME pressure vessel fabrication, including heads, rolled shells, flanges, fittings, piping, and other necessary supplies. We're looking for a proactive, self-motivated individual with experience in procurement, adept in vendor relations, order management, and utilizing ERP software to submit purchase orders.

**Job-Specific Responsibilities**:

- Procurement**:Take charge of issuing and maintaining purchase orders, focusing on critical materials for manufacturing.
**- Vendor Relations**:Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating terms to align with company objectives.
**- Order Management**:Stay on top of open orders, ensuring timely deliveries and addressing any delays proactively.
**- Data Accuracy**:Keep meticulous records, utilizing ERP systems to track procurement processes.
**- Communication**:Serve as a key communication link between suppliers and internal teams, ensuring clarity and efficiency in procurement processes.
**- Inventory Control**:Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the shop to ensure adequate stock.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- A proactive, self-motivated individual with entry to mid-level experience in procurement or supply chain roles, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.
- Ability to independently manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Common-sense problem-solving attitude.
- An understanding of the specific types of commodities used in our manufacturing processes.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
