T47 is seeking Licensed Unarmed Security Guard Support Services to serve as Contracted Security Officers (CSOs) at locations within Washington, District of Columbia. We are seeking supervisory and non-supervisory CSOs.

CSO Requirements
- Secondary Screening for entry and exit control at stationary posts - CSOs enforce the Department’s entry, exit, and identification policies. This includes the operation of security screening equipment designed to detect dangerous weapons and other prohibited items. Dangerous weapons and prohibited items shall be confiscated and immediately turned over to the customer.
- Garage Parking and Pedestrian Control - When assigned, the CSOs direct traffic, monitor vehicles and pedestrians in designated locations.
- CSOs must remain vigilant and continuously monitor persons for suspicious activities, and immediately report any suspicious persons to a sworn officer or their supervisor.
- Incident Reports and Records—The CSOs prepare reports and records of reportable incidents as directed by the USCP. These reports include: contract performance issues, labor hours worked (both regular and overtime hours), equipment status, accidents, illness, unusual incidents or unlawful acts that occurred within the CSOs areas of responsibility. Reports are completed in a clear, legible format. All reports and records prepared under this contract are law enforcement sensitive in nature and considered Government property.
- Lost and Found—CSOs must turn over any unclaimed articles found in a Capitol Complex facility, or other customer
- designated facility, to the customer before or at the end of the CSO’s tour of duty.
- Telephone Usage
- CSO use telephones only for the purposes of conducting the requires customer services.

Standards and Qualifications
- Possess United States citizenship (either by birth or naturalization).
- Possess a valid high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED), or equivalency.
- Pass a medical and physical standards examination.
- Be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a valid, unrestricted (except eyewear) state driver’s license.
- Satisfy one of the following: 1) Two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserve or National Guard); 2) Any combination of two years of experience in physical security (as a security officer—armed or unarmed) and service with the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard; 3) Associate’s Degree in a security or law enforcement field; or 4) Successful completion of a police officer’s basic training academy.
- Pass a background security investigation.
- Successfully complete all on-boarding training to include the Customer Familiarization 40 hour curriculum (to be administered by the contract agency) and the Field Training Phase.
