**Job Responsibilities: What you will do**

Engages in a wide range of activities which support the Treasury Department in operational effectiveness and excellence. Play advanced roles in cash and capital expenditure (CAPEX) forecasting, hedging, cash balancing, asset financing, investment reporting, and other roles related to treasury. Provide support to Business Analyst team as needed for major projects, such as Annual Operating Plans, Quarterly Competitor Reports, etc.
- Conduct quantitative analysis, compile and report daily cash balances (improving the cash forecast for more accurate information) and assist Treasury Leader and Executive management in identifying cash needs and timelines for the company through the identification of significant variances and improvement of forecast-to-actual performance. Modify and improve tools to update Treasury management on cash and forecasting variance trends. Manage liquidity and recommend borrowings and repayments to senior leadership based on forecast.
- Perform analysis functions related to fuel hedging, including but not limited to, tracking and reporting of fuel hedge costs, providing quotes to customers and company management, and gathering/tracking the necessary documentation when a customer decides to lock into a fuel hedge.
- Assist management in ensuring that the company is in compliance with debt covenants; collaborate with management in the utilization of reports. Assist management in developing periodic Treasury reports for the VP-Treasury and CFO, as well as auditors. Include items related to covenant calculations, compliance certification, earnings release, etc.
- Research and analyze external companies (trucking and other) to identify and implement additional treasury opportunities for Swift; recognize various ways to maximize investment income, minimize debt expenses, minimize receipt time of funds, and maximize disbursement time of funds. Collaborate with management to develop additional Best-In-Class Treasury practices; identify processes that other Fortune 500 companies use to better manage their cash and to minimize expense/maximize returns. Determine and recommend best-fit practices for Swift.
- Oversee cash security deposits and letters of credit required by vendors and regulators; track expiration dates, submit proper legal documentation, confirm receipts of total interest due to Swift, and ensure the proper renewal process.
- Equipment Financing/Leasing - Work with manufacturers and lessors to ensure timely and accurate funding of purchases. Calculate implied interest rates of equipment being leased and ensure rates are acceptable and approved with the CFO or VP of Treasury. Review and process documentation of all new financed units; submit funded unit detail to be updated in AS400.
- Manage the payoff process for equipment coming off lease, including: coordinating with internal stakeholders to resolve issues, identifying units to be paid off, confirming lease status and related terms, negotiating payoff with lessor counterparty, reviewing and finalizing documentation, and ensuring timely payment & title release.
- Lead implementation of new banking services, including: coordinating with internal stakeholders to identify needs and communicate requirements to banking partners, serving as point person for project meetings and communications, ensure issues are escalated and resolved appropriately, and ensuring timely and effective completion.
- Lead the AR Securitization audit, including: serving as primary point of contact for auditors, distributing auditor request lists, gathering information and answering questions, following up with internal process owners to close open items, and ensuring a timely and successful completion of the audit.
- Manage projects and ensure various deliverables are on-time by effectively communicating and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders of the project.
- Conduct cross functional work with other non-operational groups within the organization (e.g. AP, AR, Accounting) to better manage the cash flow of the company, including, but not limited to timing and control of payments and cash receipts.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.

**Qualifications: What you need to bring**
- Three to four (3-4) years of financial, accounting, economics, or treasury analysis experience. Transportation experience a plus.
