Veterinary Assistant or Rvt

2 years experience is preferred but not required. We are happy to train someone who is motivated to get in to the veterinary field

Skills should include: Attention to detail, compassion and empathy for animals and owners, excellent communication skills with other staff members as well as pet owners, accurate and meticulous record keeping, exceptional attendance and punctuality.

Job responsibilities include:
Cleaning and sterilization

Animal restraint

Light grooming, bathing, nail trims

Vaccine administration

Radiograph assistance

Post operative care

Assistance in surgery

Cleaning cages, dog walking

Administering medications

Medical record documentation

Client communication and education

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

**Education**:

- High school or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Experience: 2 years (preferred)
- Veterinary Technician Experience: 2 years (preferred)
