Groundskeeper

**Responsibilities**:
A Charlottesville Condominium Community is looking for a groundskeeper who is dependable and hard working. This position requires maintaining a level of professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to ensuring our property remains exceptionally clean, neat, and attractive to our owners, residents and neighbors. This position is primarily Monday-Friday. Weekends may also be required during snow, ice or other inclement weather, overtime pay provided as needed.

**Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be a reliable worker who is able to perform routine tasks without supervision and must be a self starter.
- Strong attention to detail required
- General gardening knowledge
- 1 year experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Remove litter and debris from the grounds.
- Keep walkways, parking lots and garage areas clean.
- Prune bushes and trees, remove weeds, and give the grounds a manicured look. Mowing handled by contractor.
- Water lawn and shrubs
- Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs
- Take on special landscaping or planting projects as deemed necessary by supervisor.
- Collaborate with the maintenance and/or management team to make sure the grounds and the building are always properly cared for.
- Availability for snow removal during the winter months to keep all of the walkways and building entrances cleared and safe.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Work in outside environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
