**A Brief Overview**
Performs specific duties necessary for the support of the food and nutrition department.

**What you will do**
- Prepare work area in an appropriate manner for tasks of the day
- Adhere to daily work flow schedule as assigned
- May work in any of the following areas of Food and Nutrition: Counter service; tray assembly and tray service; cashiering; assembly and prep; tray delivery; diet office and menu selection; tray assembly (hot portioning).
- Maintains sanitary food handling procedures and personal sanitation at all times
- Clean cold stations, wipes counters, puts away supplies and clean refrigerators
- Gather any items needed per station
- Maintain coffee station. Brew coffee for service. Check area for necessary items
- Deliver all late meal calls. Set up complimentary dinners
- Collects all trays from patient rooms and pantries using the cart
- Clean carts and assist in cleaning silverware. Push carts with covers and trays
- Clean carts and mat trays. Break down patient trays in the dish room
- Distributes and picks up menus
- Enters meal requests in automated diet office system or takes meal requests using tablet
- Loads meal trucks and dispatches accordingly
- Restock areas with appropriate items as required

**Education Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required

**Experience Qualifications**
- Six months related experience Preferred

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Customer service preferred
