Desk Support Specialist

We own and operate premier senior living communities that provide a spectrum of housing and care options including independent living, assisted living, memory support services, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and community-based home care. Our charitable programs include a domestic violence prevention center and shelter, and we provide scholarships and educational support for students attending an all-girls Catholic high school in the Chicago area.

**Responsibilities**:

- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, Zero client, and mobile devices.
- Provide support for audiovisual equipment and conferencing systems.
- Set up and configure user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Collaborate with Franciscan IT team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Document and track IT support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system.
- Provide training and guidance to associates on IT-related topics.
- Able to provide support for security camera systems and Avaya phone systems.
- Maintain knowledge of current IT trends and technologies.
- Assist with IT projects and initiatives as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience working in a help desk or technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating system.
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with network concepts, protocols, and security.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with ticketing system (ConnectWise) and remote support tools is preferred.
