CapSpecialty is seeking a Wrap Specialist will be responsible for marketing, underwriting, and servicing of the Primary Wrap book and will develop key relationships with centers of influence in the space, continually providing input on improvement to product offerings, and contributing to the overall profitability of the Wrap book of business. Along with these items, this position will deliver superior customer satisfaction by working with our distribution partners to achieve the financial goals and objectives established by the company.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Underwrite and maintain a profitable book of business through solid risk selection based on company appetite, analysis, pricing, and service.
- Develop and expand key broker relationships and drive marketing across the assigned territory.
- Work with Operations team to ensure superior service, including the assurance that quote letters, binders, policy issuance, and endorsement drafting, and issuance are being executed timely, accurately, and effectively.
- Collaborate with Head of Primary Wrap to continually improve upon underwriting strategies as well as assist in development of key products for typical customers within the industry, including limits, terms, conditions, pricing, and risk eligibility.
- Maintain and uphold knowledge of emerging business and legal trends impacting the exposures within the industry.
- Keep informed of competitor's products, philosophy, and distribution channels.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:
Provide indirect supervision and guidance to Assistant(s) by assigning work and establishing priorities.

**Core Competencies**:

- Knowledge of insurance contracts, state regulations and risk management techniques.
- High degree of interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
- Organized, disciplined, goal-oriented, ambitious, self-motivated, independent thinker.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, both anecdotally and mathematically.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Fluent with computers including MS Office.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of Construction Liability/Primary Wrap underwriting experience, preferably including product development.
- Completion or continuing work towards RPLU, CIC, CPCU or other approved programs.
- 2-4 years of commercial underwriting experience working with wholesale and retail brokers.

**Physical Demands**:

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May be required to lift to 15 lbs. at times.
- May require occasional travel.
