Unit Notes:MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE CARDIAC DRIPS
**Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer.
Will float between all Tele and MedSurg units
Floating is required. Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, as well as all Tele units, MedSurg, any & every holding area (this could be in the Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, even a hallway)
They staff the observation floor 1st, then the other units. Floating would include between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses. Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start. Floating to different units mid-shift can happen. Rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible. The distance between the 2 campuses is 9 miles. Depending on traffic takes 15 minutes. All interstate. Must clock-out when leaving one campus then clock-in when arrive at the other campus.
**Tele B3A**:
- Unit: CV Tele B3A- # beds :32 bed
Ratios: 1:3-4- Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role. Techs: PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients. Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Tele: Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs. Vents: Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele. Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine to titrate down ONLY. No pediatrics, 15 y/o and older.
