This position is located on an offshore oil platform in Federal waters off the coast of southern California working as an employee of the company with all company benefits.

The Crane Operator, Rig Crew is responsible for safely and efficiently operating all the Cranes located on the 3 offshore oil platforms in accordance with Procedures and Guidelines established under API RP2D&C. Duties include moving/relocating equipment, containers, pipe, and various materials and supplies utilized in the operations and daily functions of the Drilling Rig. This includes offloading and back-loading of personnel, equipment, supplies, etc., to and from ocean going vessels. The Crane Operator is responsible for the safety and efficient work of the Roustabouts of any Crew Members assigned to Crane Operations. The Crane Operator is responsible for supervising, directing, and training the Roustabouts. Responsible for competently operating the Hydraulic ESP Spooler and may be asked to operate various other Rig Floor Equipment such as Air Hoist and Man Rider Hoists as well as supporting Rig up/down Operations, Rig Skidding Operations, BOPE Nipple up/down Operations, and Well Head related Operations. The Crane Operator is responsible for maintaining the inventory, certification, and for the care of all rigging. He is also responsible for daily pre-use inspection of the cranes, the cleanliness of the cranes, and for reporting any deficiencies or need for maintenance as well as preventative maintenance and other related equipment inspections. May be asked to provide relief for other Crew Members, when properly trained, and as directed.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Must have valid Crane Operator A training for Mechanical/Hydraulic cranes per API RP2 D
- Minimum 1 year verifiable Crane Operating Experience. Previous Offshore Experience with FMC Link Belt Friction Crane preferred.
- Must pass DOT crane physical with depth perception and drug test. All tests will meet 49 CFR 391.41 standards.
- Must possess a High School diploma or GED and IADC Well Sharp Well Control Certificate - Supervisor level

Skills Required:

- Proven, extensive working knowledge, and experience in Crane Operations.
- Ability to properly and safely operate all Equipment associated with Crane Operations
- Thorough knowledge of Industry Standard Rig Safety Regulations and Safety Practices.
- Ability to work with and communicate effectively with Employees, 3rd Party Vendors, and Regulating Agency Representatives.
- Experience with inspection guidelines, and knowledge of all job-related safety regulations and equipment.
- Strong math and reasoning skills; and proficiency in reading and writing in English.
- Monitor, adapt, respond safely, and effectively as changes in operations dictate.
- Self-Motivated Team Leader who leads by example.
