: Responsible for assisting physician with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and EMR management. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of the office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include: enter and edit physician’s schedules, organize patient flow, enter patient information, accompany patients to exam room; assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing and preparing for exams, obtain weight, blood pressure, pulse and current medications, assist physician during physical exam, relay instructions to patients/family members, answer phone calls and messages providing pertinent information. Address all tasks obtained throughout the day. Manages recalls and open orders.

2. Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include: sending and receiving patient medical records; obtaining lab, pathology and x-ray reports, hospital records, referral information and prescription refills; completes orders, forms, and requisitions as needed; scheduling follow up office visits, verifying insurance information and patient demographics; managing patients charts to ensure information is completed and filed appropriately; and scan all new documents into the patient’s EMR.

3. Fulfills environmental responsibilities assigned which may include setting up exam rooms and cleaning the rooms between patient visits to maintain infection control, sorting supplies and restocking exam rooms.

4. Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned which may include: respecting /promoting patient rights; adhere to compliance and HIPPA guidelines; cross cover other staff when needed; assist the front desk with checking in patient’s, scanning insurance cards collecting co-payments, obtaining kiosks as needed; scanning medical records.

5. Other duties as assigned

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
