**Stocking Clerk/Assembler/Driver**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Stocking Clerks put supplies away after receipt from Vendors, restock shelves and displays, Assemble new equipment for displays and customer sales. This position will also be responsible for making occasional deliveries. Clean driving record is required and must be over age 25 to qualify for our insurance. They also assist other staff as needed since we all work as a team.

Qualifications: Must be familiar with basic hand and power tools. Knowledge of outdoor power equipment is a plus, Bilingual English/Spanish is required because we advance people from this position into other positions. Good social skills, Responsible, and Hard working are required.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Alan’s Lawn & Garden Center is committed to maintaining Quality, Value, and Trust in all interactions with our customers.
- Required to follow Safety Sensitive position requires due to the assembling of equipment, the demonstration of equipment, and the use of power tools.
- Check which inventory was received and make sure it is put away in the correct place
- Check on all displays and make sure they are clean and accurately displayed.
- Assembling and Servicing of new equipment as it is sold making necessary adjustments as needed.
- This position will also be responsible for making occasional deliveries
- Notifies parts department of low inventory as it is used to avoid a lack of inventory for our customers.
- Prior to closing: clean work area, cover equipment, pick up and secure all tools or small equipment. Store all front equipment and lock warehouse doors.
- Help unload shipments from delivery trucks
- Get repaired equipment for customers as time permits
- Seek teachable moments from other staff to prepare yourself for advancement opportunities as they arise.
- Other duties as may be assigned.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
