This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future. The Global EHS Manager at Altera is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the safety, health, and environmental compliance across Altera's Global sites. This position involves developing and implementing policies, procedures, and programs to create a secure and compliant work environment. You'll also be responsible for integrating ESG principles into our business practices. The position reports to Director of Corporate Services, and collaborates with cross-functional teams, regulatory bodies, and external partners to drive excellence in EHS practices.

**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Provides leadership and ownership to ensure Altera complies with all local and regional environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for occupational health, safety, wellbeing, hygiene, environmental, and sustainability issues.
- Align EHS programs with global standards and regulations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee EHS programs at multiple sites globally.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and site managers including operations, security, legal, and HR.
- Communicate the EHS and ESG goals effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance across all sites.
- Coordinate and perform EHS assessments to identify workplace health and wellbeing hazards
- Design and deliver employee EHS training programs.
- Implement appropriate controls to measure and mitigate risks.
- Conduct EHS accident and workplace safety audits, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
- Ensure submittal of environmental permitting, licenses, certifications, and external reports, environmental risk assessments, and safety hazard assessments.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop and implement ESG initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Prepare EHS and sustainability reports based on recognized reporting standards.

**Qualifications**:
This position is not eligible for Intel sponsorship.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience as an EHS manager, in a multi-site, manufacturing and high-tech environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) are advantageous.
- Knowledge of ESG principles, frameworks, and reporting standards.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $123,139.00-$203,801.00
- Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
