As A&M Supply operates with a fully barcoded warehouse, the warehouse supervisor holds a significant role ensuring that our processes are coached, trained and implemented from receipt of goods through final delivery to the customer.

The warehouse supervisor plans, organizes, and monitors the receiving, storage, and distribution of product. The supervisor works in coordination with the Branch Operations Manager to provide a high level of customer service, maintain safety, and operate within cost budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.
- Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems.
- Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure accuracy.
- Transmit and explain work orders to laborers.
- Check specifications of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders.
- Oversee the safe receipt, storage, picking and dispatching products in a timely and accurate manner. Contact vendors when encountering shortages with inbound shipments.
- Ensure safety requirements and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock.

Education Requirements:

- High School diploma or general education degree 3 to 5 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or materials management, with 2 years of supervisory experience.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.

Travel: No travel is expected for this position.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than one hundred pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

A&M Supply distributes materials to millwork and furniture factories as well as professional woodworkers, contractors, and general contractors. Our company stocks an extensive mix of component as well as brand name supply products. We bring value to customers via next day delivery from our eleven locations servicing the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States as well as providing commercial credit lines to qualifying customers. These services in addition to our best in brand products have been instrumental to our continuous growth.

**Experience**:
