In the position of Salon Apprentice, you will spend your time assisting the Master Stylist, training and servicing guests.

Our Apprentices will perform the following essential functions:

- Acknowledge and greet guests within 30 seconds of entering salon and offers friendly, prompt and courteous service.
- Demonstrate recommend and sell professional beauty products sold in salon.
- Assist Master Stylist
- Attend all mandatory education and workshops
- Assist in duties for maintaining cleanliness of salon. (i.e. retail displays, cleaning shelves, shampoo bowls, dispensary, etc.)
- Meet or exceed individual sales and productivity goals.
- Adhere to salon dress code.
- Follow Maria Vitale Salon Procedures manual.
- Suggest add-on services to guests.
- Handles sales and check-out procedures
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and with the help of salon management, develop solutions and implement them to ensure all clients are satisfied.
- Follow all safety and hygienic procedure according to State Board.
- Spend time giving clients a relaxing and enjoyable experience at the shampoo bowl as well as the styling chair.

**Requirements**:

- High school Diploma
- CA Cosmetology license current and in good standing
- Significant competency in sales, products and services.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- 1-3 years of experience in retail or salon industry
- Flexible availability
- A passion for the beauty industry
- A thirst for knowledge in new and developing hair concepts
- Ability to work as part of a team salon environment
- Salon software knowledge in Millennium a plus
