May-Grant has the following position available**:Full Time** or **Part Time** **PHONE SCHEDULER**
The position will primarily be that of a phone scheduler with the expectation to cross-train and cover as a desk specialist based on practice needs.
**Work Schedule**: Full-time; Part Time
The schedule will be determined based on practice needs but will consist of primarily dayshift hours, with the expectation of evenings and/or Saturday mornings when covering as a desk specialist.
**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:
- Answering phone calls and schedule appointments
- Handle customer service inquiries
- Updating patient account information as needed
- Complete new patient registration prior to appointments
- Review the waitlist and contact patients to schedule
- Review and follow up on no shows
- May assist with patient portal and referrals
- May conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care
- Will cross-train for front desk responsibilities
**Qualifications/skills include but not limited to**:
- High school or GED required
- Minimum of one (1) year in a medical practice or hospital setting
- Excellent written communication & telephone skills
- Proficient multi-tasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced office environment
- Proficient PC skills
- OB/GYN experience preferred, not required
- Bilingual preferred, not required
