Core Room Associate

Perform general core box repairs (blow plates, vents, ejection pins, etc.)
- Prepare core box tooling.
- Set up all core machines in the department to the work order.
- Adjust core machines to minimize scrap & maximize productivity.
- Calibrate resins & additives systems.
- Perform 1st piece core inspections.
- Train new operators on operating the equipment.
- Inform operators of any special operating procedures.
- Adjust equipment during production to correct defects.
- Operate all core making equipment in the core room such as a U180, Redford 22, Redford 43 or SCC90.
- Produce cores to the work order while meeting established quality standards.
- Inspects completed cores and identifies defects.
- Demonstrates knowledge of different cores - file & pack cores.
- Assembles complex and basic cores within the department.
- Identify scrap issues and report to group lead.
- Complete required paperwork for each completed work order.
- Perform daily PM on equipment and report any defective equipment to group lead.
- Adheres Company safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
