**Job Summary**

This role will ensure adherence to current Generation renewable energy contacts as well as participate in the development and implementation of future contracts. This role is responsible for asset ownership and managing all major commercial contracts.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**
- Be the owner of all contracts for all of Generations renewable assets. Collaborates, negotiates, reads, writes, develops, analyzes, and ensures compliance with these contracts.
- Collaborates and interfaces with the Performance Management team, wind/solar facility staff, turbine OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), and service providers to ensure contract adherence.
- Ensures commercial and governmental obligations are met by tracking key milestones within the major agreements.
- Leads efforts to solicit proposals; negotiates contract terms and conditions; and recommends agreements for executive approval.
- Be the lead in any Warranty claims or End of Warranty (EOW) claims with the supplier or vendor. Manages the contractual obligations and collaborates with the performance analyst and supplier/vendor as part of this process.
- Builds and presents contract adherence reports to be shared with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participates in development and construction meetings to ensure contract adherence.
- Creates and maintains vendor relationships. Be the face of NIPSCO when interacting with vendors by acting in a professional and courteous manner.
- Be the lead in resolving contract disputes.
- Maintains professionalism and involvement of key stakeholders when working through contract disputes.
- Supports ad hoc requests from the renewable asset management team
- Works and collaborates with EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute) and other industry experts to ensure NIPSCO business needs are in line with current and future industry standards.
- Documents lessons learned from previous contracts in order to align future contracts with the business unit’s needs.
- Be versatile and flexible within the business unit due to a newly create role
- Willingness to travel at least 10-20%

**Required Qualifications for Position**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
- Strong, effective communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and talent for accuracy and precision
- Deep understanding of contracts, contract governance, contract language and contract lifecycle
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to understand legal and financial implications
- Strong proficiency in worksheet and word processing tools (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently
- 3-5 years of experience managing or interpreting contracts

**Salary Range**:
$91,000.00 - $136,600.00
