Together, we will transform diabetes care by expanding access, integrating care, and improving outcomes so people with diabetes can enjoy greater freedom and better health.**

**In this role you will be an integral member of the Global Controllership function and business partner to the Diabetes Finance leadership team. You will provide high visibility across the Diabetes organization as you help direct all aspects of financial accounting, controls, processes, and financial reporting to meet business objectives. You will play a key role in creating efficiencies and leading process improvement initiatives. Position reports directly to the Global Controller and dotted line to the Diabetes Chief Financial Officer.**

**You will serve as a trusted partner providing strategic advice and sounds fiduciary judgement to support decision making within the business. You will maintain a robust control environment, financial discipline and make sure the company’s internal operations run smoothly, accurately and on budget.**

**A Day in the Life
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.**

**- **Manages financial health, oversees reporting, mitigates risk, and preserves assets.**

**- **Ensures implementation and adherence to internal controls for process integrity.**

**- **Handles daily transactions, assists in budgeting, revenue recognition, and compliance.**

**- **Responsible for accurate and timely company records.**

**- **Owns monthly/quarterly financial close, produces reports for decision-making.**

**- **Oversees accounting processes, including AR, AP, payroll, and compliance.**

**- **Partners with senior leadership on spend control and strategic transformation.**

**- **Stays updated on local, state, and federal accounting regulations.**

**- **Collaborates in external audit functions for financial reporting compliance.**

**- **Supports talent development and fosters an inclusive culture.**

**- **Provides oversight to DIB Finance, optimizing internal controls and adherence.**

**- **Directs various accounting matters including revenue recognition and restructuring.**

**- **Builds partnerships and shares best practices across Medtronic.**

**- **Acts as a liaison with the Controller’s office and external auditors.**

**- **Contributes financial analysis expertise and educates employees on financial tools.**

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
- **Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of finance and/or controllership experience (or 8+ years with advanced degree) including 7+ years of managerial experience**

**Nice to Have ***
- Medtronic experience.
- **BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA, MBA qualifications.**:

- **Global industry experience beyond the United States.**:

- **Experience in Medical Device, Healthcare, or manufacturing within a fast-paced, matrix organization.**:

- **Proficient in business partnering and stakeholder management, emphasizing trust and credibility.**:

- **Strong numerical proficiency, detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills and logical thinking.**:

- **Deep understanding of internal controls and protocols, ensuring compliance.**:

- **Broad and in-depth knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles and processes.**:

- **Effective communication, problem-solving, and influencing skills.**:

- **Demonstrated track record of fostering inclusivity, innovation, and ethical compliance.**
