**Job Title**: CMM Programmer

**Salary Range**:$25 - $35

**Purpose and Objectives**:
The Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) Programmer operates, programs, and performs inspections using MCOSMOS software driven CMM's.

The CMM Programmer position carries out the following duties:

- Write CMM programs, measure parts, and check findings against a blueprint dimensions.
- Review blueprints and specifications to determine the correct inspection criteria.
- Generate and properly submit all customer first article and change request documentation
- Follow-up with customers and provide any required additional information as needed.
- Monitor submittal status and provide updates in a timely manner.
- Maintain inspection, measuring and test equipment as necessary.
- May participate in internal, client, or regulatory audits with the Quality Assurance Department.
- Support company in continuous improvement initiatives and internal audit processes.
- Ability to follow all safety procedures, have regular attendance, and get along as a team.
- Marginal functions not included as primary responsibilities in this position may also be required.

**Experience and Skills**:

- **CMM Operation and Programming**: Minimum 3 years creating CMM programs, selecting appropriate probes, and optimizing measurement paths. Competence using CMM software to create, edit, and execute measurement programs. Ability to work with computer-aided design (CAD) software for importing part models and creating measurement paths.
- **Blueprint Reading**: Skilled in interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Understanding of symbols, tolerances, and surface finishes is essential.
- **Mathematics and Statistics**: Knowledge and understanding of common geometric concepts and trigonometric functions for calculating coordinates and angles.
- **Statistical Analysis**: Understanding of statistical analysis methodologies used in various process capability studies and data interpretation models.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: The CMM programmer should be proficient in troubleshooting common measurement issues, identifying root causes, and quickly implementing required corrective actions.
- **Communication Skills**: Effective and transparent communications with all engineering, quality control, and production teams is essential. Must have ability to provide clear documentation of measurement results and deviations. Logical thinking and analytical abilities are vital.
- **Quality Control Principles**: Knowledge of quality control processes & statistical process control.
- **Adaptability and Learning**: The field of metrology evolves, and staying updated with new technologies and industry trends is important.
- Mitutoyo CMM Certification a plus

Pay: $52,000.00 - $72,800.00 per year
