Welltec North America Caribbean region is actively looking for a Manager QHSE. The position will be based in Katy, Texas (Houston area) which is the regional HQ. As the Manager QHSE, you will be leading the company’s QHSE efforts in the North America and Caribbean region. The NAM region is a vast geographical region that currently covers the United States, Canada, Trinidad & Tobago, and the newest addition to the NAM region, Guyana.

**The Position**

As Manager QHSE you will directly report to the NAM Senior Vice President and the Director Global QHSE. The Manager QHSE will lead the planning, development, and coordination of the quality, health, safety, security aspects of personnel, materials, equipment, facilities, and environmental issues to achieve safety effectiveness for the company. Ensures QHSE compliance with corporate policies and procedures, and state and federal laws and regulations.

**Responsibilities**
- Will manage a small QHSE team.
- Develop and implement policies and practices to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions in the workplace and external environments.
- Investigate accidents and environmental incidents, identify the causes and

prevent their recurrence
- Provide advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization, client and government standards related to environmental and employee health and safety
- Ensure that product quality specifications are in compliance with corporate and client standards and requirements
- Establish QC/QC policies and procedures for product assessment, technical service, and vendor evaluations.
- Follow standard procedures and being able to explain facts, policies and practices related to the job area.
- Ensures that federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules are observed, as well as internal reporting on safety and health awareness, issues and statistics.
- Ensures that OSHA as well as other environmental and safety recordkeeping and reporting requirements are met.
- Monitors activities where accidents could occur, halting any operation or activity that constitutes an imminent hazard to personnel or equipment. Conducts daily hazard hunts at the Katy facility and inspects equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
- Participates and leads emergency responses (i.e., fire drills, etc) and addresses employee Environmental, Health and Safety concerns.
- Participates in audits, conducts inspections and recognizes hazards. Monitors regulated company drivers for all NAM activities, and ensures environmental compliance in NAM region.
- Is the key WorkHub administrator for NAM. Maintains WorkHub (company training tracking system) and keeps track of all employee training that is coming up on expiring in WorkHub. Sets up new employees and assigns training to employees in WorkHub, as required. Monitors and works directly with employees and/or managers to fill any training gaps with respect to expired training, missing training, or training that will soon expire for safety and health matters and accident prevention.
- Manage and maintain ISN (ISNetwork) compliance platform, which indicates employee status for specific clients based on the client’s unique, pre-set criteria. Provide support when non-compliance is discovered. In some cases, there may very short notice prior to mobilization.
- Deliver presentations at safety stand-up meetings and NAM quarterly business meetings. Will participate in weekly NAM alignment management meeting led by SVP.
- Administers the workers’ compensation claims program with the support of the company’s Workers’ Compensation insurance broker; ensures timely processing of claims; evaluates accident reports to determine accuracy and completeness and to ensure adequate investigation; ensures that the company is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations,
- Reviews Job Risk Assessments for office and field. Coordinates office repairs as necessary.
- Approximate required travel will be around 25% - 50%.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is desirable, but not required
- Minimum 5 years experience in quality, occupational health, safety and environmental affairs preferred. Practical experience within oil & gas / engineering industry preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage the QHSE function, team, and able to interact with employees and managers at all levels.
- Strong analytical, influencing and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to perform effective incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Efficient time management, organization, and planning skills.
- Willingness to travel to various company locations, as needed.
