- **COMPENSATION**: $20.68/hour plus full benefits package. *Please note that the hourly rate of pay is inclusive of the mandatory 4.5% retirement contribution to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
- **UNION MEMBERSHIP**:This position is represented by the Oswego Education Support Professionals Association (OESPA).
- Qualifications desired:

- Minimum of two years of successful experience in a related secretarial or office position.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel. Excel skills include:

- Demonstrable ability to type with a high level of accuracy and reasonable speed
- Creating spreadsheets
- Modifying existing spreadsheets (adding and sizing columns, formatting headings and cells, sorting and filtering data, adding sheets to workbook)
- Creating a Mail Merge and Creating charts
- Performing minor calculations using Auto-sum
- Excellent manual and digital organizational and filing skills, and the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, information retrieval, visual presentations, and telecommunications for the purpose of providing up-to-date information and/or historical reference in accordance with established administrative guidelines and legal requirements.
- Coordinates assigned projects and/or activities (ie: proper distribution of materials to a variety of departments, arrangements for conferences, meetings, travel requirements testing, etc.) for the purpose of completing activities and/or delivering services in a timely fashion.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
- Demonstrate appropriate telephone etiquette.
- Exhibit enthusiasm and good interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community, including difficult and emotional situations.
- Fosters and maintains a positive and effective working relationship with teachers, administrators, support staff, District staff and the community for the purpose of adhering to policies, regulations and administrative procedures.
- Maintains professional confidentiality in all areas of responsibility for the purpose of adhering to the policies, regulations and administrative procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by administration for the purpose of ensuing the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
- Prepares a variety of correspondence, reports and other materials (ie: letters, memorandums, charts, periodic reports, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.
- Assists and maintains an accurate physical and electronic textbook inventory for the purpose of student learning.
- Attends department and/or in-service meetings as needed for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
- Researches assigned topics (ie: current practices, policies, education codes, etc.) for the purpose of providing information for addressing building operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Principal or Assistant Principal.
