Medical Billing Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services. This is a vital role in ensuring timely reimbursement for healthcare providers and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities: - Review and analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate codes for billing purposes - Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, such as ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG - Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement - Follow up on unpaid claims and denials to resolve billing issues - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the medical billing system - Collaborate with medical office staff to obtain necessary documentation for billing purposes - Provide support to patients regarding billing inquiries and payment options - Stay updated on changes in medical coding systems and regulations Qualifications: - Previous experience in medical billing or related field - Proficient in medical terminology, coding systems, and procedures - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes - Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including claim submission and reimbursement processes - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
