**APPOINTMENT TYPE: PERMANENT**

**LOCATION(S): ALBANY, GEORGIA**

The selectee for this position will serve as a Police Officer for Public Safety Division, Marine Corps Police Department, Marine Corps Logistics Base. This position can be hired at the GS-0083-06 target 07 level or the GS-0083-07 level.
- _Performs law enforcement duties at fixed posts such as interior and exterior gates throughout the installation, utilizing a system of identification cards, badges on MCLB Albany, GA. _
- _Conducts investigative stops, questions, detains, and issues traffic citations as required._
- _Processes visitors by determining purpose of visit. _
- _Performs general law enforcement activities such as apprehending offenders, preparing detailed police reports, assists in investigating crimes, processing accident scenes, taking measurements, collects evidence, running radar equipment, using several types of cameras, operating blood alcohol machines, use of personnel or electronic surveillance aids; responds to radio calls or report of unusual situations._

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT/ELIGIBILITY**
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to pass a background check and meet suitability requirements (physical requirements and mandatory drug screening).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Must possess a current State of Georgia Driver’s License. **MUST provide a copy of your Driver’s License, with picture and DOB redacted, with resume for employment consideration.**
- Education: Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
- Qualifications-Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standards. You must meet any minimum experience or training requirements per OPM qualifications standards and show thorough experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which applying. Pay: $39,576.00 - $63,733.00 per year
