The Junior Assistant position is part of the Finance department. This position will be involved in all aspects of corporate accounting and reports to the Controller.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Participate in monthly close process. Prepare monthly journal entries with proper supporting documentation. Analyze and investigate variances.
- Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations for prepaids, accrued expenses, fixed assets and various other accounts.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist with tax filings and other governmental/compliance reporting.
- Assist Accounts Payable with processing invoices as directed by Controller.
- Assist the CFO and Controller with special projects and other duties as assigned.

**Development**
- Continuous education regarding US GAAP compliance, tax regulations, and company processes and procedures.

**Accounting Assistant Requirements**
- Minimum 1-3 years of similar accounting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proficiency in Excel and MSOffice
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong ability to plan for and meet necessary deadlines (financial reporting, tax filings, audit, etc.)
- Must be able to ability to take initiative and work independently
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to re-prioritize when needed
- Improvement mindset with a natural aptitude to continually learn
- Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
