The purpose of the Home Equity Underwriter position is to analyze and make credit decisions within established lending guidelines to support achievement of Credit Union’s loan portfolio growth and profitability objectives. This position has no budgetary responsibility, but decisions may have a minor impact, has limited supervisor over its work, and requires analysis in order to perform its job functions.

**This is a 100% remote opportunity that may require you to attend in-person member meetings at a local branch or attend events within your assigned region.**

EDUCATION:

- General and business knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma

CERTIFICATION(S):

- Required to register and maintain a unique identifier with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) in compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (“SAFE Act”). This must be renewed on an annual basis from November 1 to December 31. Must also record any changes(name, address, or any outdated or inaccurate information) within 30 days with the NMLS Registry

EXPERIENCE:

- 6 months-2 years of experience in consumer lending
- 6 months - 2 years in a consumer lending underwriter capacity

- Proficient Microsoft Office and applicable software skills
