**Primary Purpose**:
Under direction of the VP Chain Accounts, the Chain Account Sales Person fosters relationships with an assigned set of Operators and Principals resulting in the sales of KI represented products and services. This includes developing relationships with new Operators and Principals, building relationships at the highest level in order to gain new sales.

**Responsibilities**:

- Know principal product lines, core competencies and capabilities
- Sell products and services to operators. Present KI Chain Account Division "supply chain solutions "to new operator accounts. Customer segmentation, prospecting and relationship building.
- Attend and participate in interviews for new Principals.
- Achieve assigned goals for new commissions.
- Communicate freely with Region Presidents and field sales to facilitate assistance with product tests sampling and field execution.
- Support Region Presidents and Segment VP initiatives as assigned.
- Work to control costs for KeyImpact by guiding our principal's utilization of resources (reporting frequency, travel costs, meetings, etc.) and manage travel and work for maximum efficiency.
- Manage the principal's expectations of sales results.
- Attend large business reviews as needed.
- Perform additional duties as required.

**Basic Position Requirements**:
**Abilities**:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must have strong presentation skills and be adept in public speaking. Be able to overcome objections and close sale. Ability to work independently with little supervision, yet work well in a team environment. Be able to prioritize and plan your schedule. Be able to multi-task. Good decision and negotiating skills. Effective time-management skills. Excellent conflict resolution skills. Maintain high level of professionalism.

**Knowledge**:
Must have Strong knowledge of brokerage business and relationship to Principals and overall business. Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, & Outlook.

**Training Required**:
Product and sales training

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:
N/A

**Working Conditions**:
Frequent on the road driving; highly concentrated mental and visual alertness. Major portion of the day is spent talking either in-person or by telephone dealing with customer service issues. Frequent up/down motion to perform duties. Moderate typing, calculating or otherwise working with fingers. Visual acuity. Ability to hear and receive detailed information. Frequent over-night travel.

**Equipment/Tools**:
Calculator, personal computer, telephone, fax, and copier.
