The Vice President of Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of multiple production and distribution facilities. This position plays a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to drive growth, streamline processes, and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee day-to-day multi-site operations, including packaging, manufacturing, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery of products and services while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to set strategic goals and priorities and provide regular updates on operational performance and key metrics.
- Conduct frequent visits to our in state and out of state facilities and work with the local teams to drive a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and innovation throughout the organization.
- Lead a team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulations.
- Work closely with local managers to develop solutions to day-to-day issues while developing long term strategies.
- Additional duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree in industrial engineering or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, proven ability to lead, direct and motivate.
- Ability to thrive in a high pace dynamic work environment.
- 10 years’ experience as plant manager for medium to large size plants
- 5 years’ Multi facility management experience
- Nutraceutical or food industry best fit.
