Medical Biller

**Full job description**

High volume Orthopedic Surgery group seeking Medical Biller(s). Prior orthopedic and/or physical therapy billing experience is HIGHLY PREFERRED.

We are seeking team players who are resourceful and confident. Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task. Excellent communication skills is required. Must have working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPC, and modifier coding as well as a clear understanding of Workers' Compensation, PPO, HMO, and government payers. Demonstrated experience in claim creation and submission, follow-up, appeals, and customer service.

**Duties include**:

- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Identify and resolve patient billing complaints
- Process payments from insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid insurance claims
- Resolved insurance denials
- Follow up on unpaid patient balances

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of Medicare, HMO and PPO, and Workers Comp billing rules and reimbursement
- Knowledge of basic medical coding
- Strong background in full revenue cycle billing

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Experience**:

- medical billing: 1 year (preferred)
