**BASIC FUNCTION**: We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Server Assistant to join our team The Server Assistant is key to a successful operation. This individual is responsible for supporting the service team with delivering memorable hospitality to our guests. As a Server Assistant, it is your responsibility to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, working to keep the serving stations filled, clearing, and cleaning tables, and keeping the restaurant clean. This individual will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.
- Demonstrate your ability to be a team player.
- Run food to table in a timely and efficient manner.
- Set up and clear tables, stock all service stations and assist servers with table service to ensure total guest satisfaction.
- Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting.
- Promptly and consistently reset all service-ware as prescribed.
- Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments.
- Practice "Teamwork" and "Clean as you go" policies.
- Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
- Attend monthly departmental meetings.
- Memorize table numbers and seat numbers of the dining room and bar.
- Follow opening & closing side work sheet for food runner position
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Active TABC and Food Handlers Certification REQUIRED
- One year of restaurant experience is recommended but not required
- Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisor and fellow employees
- Must be able to work a flexible shift schedule to include weekdays, weekends, AM, PM, split shifts, and holidays. This is a night time intensive position working primarily dinner shift hours.
- Must be able to handle guest requests and/or complaints
