Indian Head, United States US Naval Sea Systems Command Full time

**Duties**:

- You will perform manufacturing processes to support a manufacturing organization.
- You will inspect products to ensure it meets specification and drawing requirements.
- You will perform engineering technician duties to include assisting in maintaining product quality and assist with continuous process improvements.
- You will work with engineers and technicians on the resolution of problems associated with product quality as well as the design and adaption of process equipment.
- You will monitor and suggest process improvements to manufacture energetic materials.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

**Qualifications**:
**FOR THE NT-02**:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, **NT-01 (GS-01 through GS-04 equivalent) **grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General or specialized experience must demonstrate the following**:reading and interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, or specifications to assist technical engineering work (e.g., design; quality; or adaptation of production systems and equipment) for an organization.**

Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:- OR

Have a combination of experience and graduate level education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
- **FOR NT-02**:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction, or industrial technology; or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics.- OR

Have a combination of experience and post high school education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.

**Additional information**:
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-2 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-05-GS-08. The NT-3 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-09-GS-10. The FPL NT-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-11 and GS-12.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
