Do you love teaching voice? Do you love seeing the lightbulb glow bright when young children learn and make progress?

RISE Music is looking for a voice instructor who has a big heart, loves teaching voice to young children, and enjoys holding recitals for the students to celebrate their progress

**About the Voice Teacher Position**

This voice instructor role is a contract position with a set rate of $46 per hour for teaching. The teaching schedule is set by the instructor; you can have as many or as few students as you'd like.

This particular position also includes a group voice class for musical theatre students on Tuesdays at 5pm-6pm and Thursdays at 6pm-7pm. Therefore, we do require availability on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Private lessons can be scheduled around these group classes on Tuesdays & Thursdays from as early as 1pm to as late as 8pm.

Lessons are offered to students age 5 and older at RISE Music facilities located at 2323 W Sam Houston Parkway North Building B Houston, TX 77043.
- Qualifications_
- Minimum bachelors degree in music (performance or pedagogy)
- Ability to teach beginner voice students
- Must have a very positive attitude and genuinely believe that every student is capable of making progress
- Absolutely must be dependable and committed to each student
- Excellent at building rapport with students and making music accessible to them

**About the RISE Music's Policies that Protect Our Instructors**

We pride ourselves in having instructor-friendly policies that support our team. Here are the policies that make teaching at RISE different than anywhere else:

- Competitive pay
- Students must enroll for a semester. This means much less student turnover than seen with month-to-month enrollments
- Students who cancel before the semester's end must pay an early-termination fee of 4 weeks' worth tuition; this goes directly to the instructor while we work to replace that student with a new one
- Fixed teaching schedule. Instructors never have to be available for make-up lessons
- Instructors are paid their teaching rate ($46/hr) when attending student recitals
- State-of-the-art facilities with fully-stocked lesson rooms. Each music lesson room has a Steinway piano, bluetooth speaker, iPad, whiteboard, mirror, and various music supplies so instructors can give the absolute best possible lessons
