Data Entry Specialist

We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our team at a Farmers Market in Downtown Los Angeles. The Data Entry Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our market's data, including vendor information, sales transactions, inventory records, and other essential data points.
**Responsibilities**:
- Input and maintain accurate records of vendor information, including contact details, product offerings, booth assignments, and contract agreements.
- Record and organize sales transactions, including cash and credit card payments, and reconcile financial records to ensure accuracy.
- Enter inventory data, such as product quantities, pricing, and replenishment needs, into the database system to manage stock levels effectively.
- Perform regular audits and quality checks on data to identify and correct any discrepancies or errors in a timely manner.
- Generate reports and summaries of sales data, vendor performance, and market trends for analysis and decision-making purposes.
- Collaborate with market management team to develop and implement data management policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information in accordance with data protection regulations.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional certification or training in data management or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in data entry or database management role, preferably in a retail, market, or similar environment.
- Proficiency in using computer software and database management systems, with strong typing speed and accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data processing under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze data effectively.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.
- Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed to support farmers market operations.
