We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a contract position in Chicago, IL. This role is ideal for an RN with a strong background in labor and delivery, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing exceptional patient care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct patient care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
- Monitor and assess the health of both mother and baby.
- Assist with childbirth, including the use of medical instruments and administering medications.
- Educate and support mothers and families before, during, and after childbirth.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide critical care as necessary.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience is required.
- **Certification**: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is mandatory.
- **Preferred**: Charge nurse experience is highly preferred.
- **Schedule**: Night shift position requiring three 12-hour shifts per week, with a rotating weekend schedule (6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks).

**Contract Details**:

- **Duration**: 13-week contract with the possibility of extension based on performance and facility needs.
- **Shifts**: Night shift (3 x 12 hours per week).
