**Summary**:
- Sanford Burnham Prebys is a preeminent, independent biomedical research institute dedicated to understanding human biology and disease and advancing scientific discoveries to profoundly impact human health. **Duties and Responsibilities**:
Set up and conduct experiments to assist in studying the effects of varying materials, chemicals, environments, and physical conditions on human, plant and/or animal life. Utilize variety of biological techniques, under the direction of scientists, to contribute to assays and studies that advance product research and development objectives. Collect and analyze data. Test, validate, and document results. Summarize research findings to help inform decisions. Assist in the preparation of research documentation, such as grants, regulatory submissions, manuscripts, reports, summaries, publications, and presentations. Remain knowledgeable of research methods, techniques, and developments.
**Education and/or Experience**:
- Baccalaureate degree in a Chem/Biochem-related discipline.
**Other Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities**:
- Excellent written and verbal communications, computer/software user, and presentation skills. Needs to be able to work as a team member in an advanced research laboratory setting.

**Compensation**:
The expected salary range for this position is ~ $24/hour.
