**Structured Cabling Estimator**

**Position Overview**

The cabling estimator is responsible for assessing project requirements, analyzing specifications, and providing accurate cost estimates for structured cabling projects.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Review drawing, specifications, and all other construction documents to understand project requirements.
- Perform site visits to gather relevant information about existing infrastructure, requirements, and potential challenges.
- Log project information in CRM.
- Respond to bid specifications, write detailed and concise scope of work, develop cost estimates, predict duration of the project.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor hours, material costs, and equipment expenses, and any other related expenses.
- Create and submit proposals, including cost breakdowns, technical specs, and supporting documentation.
- Participate in scope review/leveling meetings with clients.
- Participate in project meetings with clients and estimating team.
- Interact with vendors to secure best pricing.
- Participate in handoff meetings with the operations team to explain job scope, potential areas of attention, and other aspects to ensure a successful transition of the project.
- Price change orders in coordination with operations department.
- Stay informed about current trends and technological advancements in our industry.

**Qualifications**
- 3+ years of overall structured cabling commercial integration industry estimating projects.
- Experience and knowledge of cabling/ low voltage industry experience.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and various estimating software.
- Highly organized and self-managed with the ability to keep consistent workflow moving through estimating department.
- Ability to build rapports with teammates, clients,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must pass a background check.
