**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Obtains vital signs including but not limited to blood pressure, weight, height, pulse, respirations and temperature
- Records patients’ medical and social history along with information such as test results
- Timely charting utilizing eClinicalWorks
- Prepares and administers medications as directed and supervised by a provider
- Collects blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, logs the specimens appropriately and prepares them for the specific test
- Prepares examination rooms and ensures that all rooms are neat and clean
- Clean and sterilize all instruments and disposes of contaminated supplies
- Complies with all SHC policies and procedures along with HIPAA regulations
- Provides accurate information and appropriate assistance to patients, visitors and medical team of the clinic
- Uses good judgment and appropriate resources in dealing with difficult patients
- Attends and participates in staff meetings and continuing education as appropriate
- Data entry into eCW
- Inventories track and manage adequate stocking of medical supplies
- Managing the medical office infection control plan to meet OSHA and CDC standards
- Assists in projects such as quality assurance studies as directed by the Medical Director or Clinic Director
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Minimum Requirements**:
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required to satisfactorily complete job:

- Certified Medical Assistant
- Must be bilingual English/Vietnamese or English/Spanish
- At least 2-3 years of experience working in community setting
- Knowledgeable of clinic and physician/patient protocols
- Must be able to put patients at ease and explain physicians’ instructions precisely and accurately
- Ability to proceed on own initiative using independent judgment and discretion
- Possess excellent coordination skills along with verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal and time management skills
- Must be neat, well-groomed and have a courteous, pleasant manner
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to be proficient and timely with multiple deadlines

Pay: $21.50 - $26.00 per hour
