Scientific Glassblower

Overview:
We are a family owned business. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Scientific Glassblower to join our team. As a Scientific Glassblower, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing glassware used in scientific research and product development. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge scientific advancements

**Responsibilities**:

- Fabricate and repair glassware used in scientific experiments and research
- Fabricate Distillation Flasks
- Follow detailed instructions and specifications to create custom glassware
- Perform quality control checks to ensure the integrity and functionality of the glassware
- Maintain accurate records of all glassware fabrication and repairs
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with glass materials
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize laboratory processes and workflows

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in scientific glassblowing techniques, including bending, blowing, sealing, and shaping glass tubing
- Knowledge of laboratory information
- Familiarity with gas chromatography (GC) techniques and equipment
- Understanding of current good manufacturing practices for the production of scientific equipment
- Knowledge of spectroscopy techniques and equipment used in scientific analysis
- Familiarity with good laboratory practices (GLP) for maintaining cleanliness and safety in the laboratory

Qualifications:

- Knowledge in scientific glassblowing is preferred
- Proven experience as a Scientific Glassblower, demonstrating proficiency in fabricating complex glassware
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
