Host Sor Ynez

Sor Ynez is an exciting concept within the NextFab compound at American & Berks. We are excited to offer many vegan and carnivorous options, an expanding beverage program full of craft cocktails, beer, and wine, brunch and happy hour.

Sor Ynez is currently looking for a qualified, part-time host.

The Host sets the tone of the dining experience and plays a valuable role in the organization of a successful service. The restaurant depends on the Host for their people skills and ability to multitask; in this role you are juggling the nuances of individuals’ needs with the big picture goal of maintaining a hospitable and welcoming dining experience.

Shifts currently include Friday and Saturday dinner, Sunday Brunch

Both fine dining and neighborhood restaurant experience is preferred, as we embrace both. Willingness to learn and memorize details of seasonal menus is required for success in this role.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Communicate effectively with guests, managers, and staff
- Answer phones
- Accurately make reservations
- Clarify customer questions
- Handle disgruntled guests in a positive and respectful manner
- Remain calm under pressure
- Operate RESY
- Stand for long periods of time
- Maintain professional / neat attire
- Support FOH team on the floor with bussing, resetting tables, and other duties when needed
- Rolling silverware
