**Desired Skills & Qualifications**
Math teacher duties and responsibilities include:
- Preparation and implementation of daily lessons, delivery of assignments, and timely evaluation of all relevant class work and student progress.
- Design and implementation of appropriate, authentic assessments and support of individual student learning styles.
- Timely and proactive communication with parents about student progress.
- Collaboration with other members of the faculty, administration, and staff on experiential, interdisciplinary, and community-based opportunities that add to the school community.
- Active participation in all faculty and staff meetings.
- Effective and timely communication with varied school constituencies.
- Support of divisional and school-wide initiatives through committee work, where appropriate.
- Supervision and/or participation in non-academic activities, including lunch, study hall, and recess supervision.
**Additional Qualifications**
- A bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred)
- A valid teaching certificate
- A fingerprint clearance card
- Experience with Illustrative Math or other programs rooted in project based learning, differentiation, and conceptual understanding is preferred
- A positive attitude
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proven success within a work setting that requires collaboration, cooperation, and collegiality
- A desire to learn and grow through feedback and professional learning opportunities
- **Working Conditions** -Organize and work between office and classroom spaces -Reach with the hands and arms and use of hands to finger, type, and manipulate computer keyboards and communication devices. -Additionally, the incumbent must be able to converse in clear English both written and orally, over a telephone and in person. -Occasionally, incumbent may be required to lift up to 25 pounds, traverse uneven terrain and move about campus, bend and stoop -Provide own transportation -Work hours are in accordance with the employee handbook
