**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Under direct line supervision of the Health Care Unit Administrator (Public Service Administrator) and under direct supervision of a contractual registered pharmacist, performs professional work in the delivery of pharmacy services.
- Maintains individual in custody medication profiles and individual in custody prescription records.
- Cleans and maintains pharmacy equipment and maintains a safe and sanitary area.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school.
- Requires Illinois registration as a registered certified pharmacy technician. *
- Must be at least 18 years of age. *
- These stated requirements are in accordance with the Illinois Pharmacy Practice Act. (225 ILCS 85/).

**This title is included as an Upward Mobility Program Credential title.**

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Prefers at least one (1) year of professional, retail pharmacy experience.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of professional, specialty pharmacy experience.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of professional experience adhering to pharmacy laws.

- Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
- Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of the position held, is prohibited.
