**Belmont Charter Middle School** is currently seeking a teacher to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential, in accordance with the mission and standards of Belmont Charter Network.
- Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:_
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning and that are in accordance with established procedures
- Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities; instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures; maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies; provide appropriate observations, evaluations, and feedback on progress, maintain accurate and complete records of student's progress and development
- Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies, and school regulations
- Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs
- Other functions of the job include but are not limited to the following_
- Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic, and ability backgrounds
- Participate in appropriate professional and extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, and student organizations as directed
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- B.A./B.S. degree from accredited institution
- 1-2 years of classroom experience, preferably in urban education
- Valid and active Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check Clearance (Act 34)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
- Federal Bureau of Investigation Record Check Clearance (Act 114)
- Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Clearance (Act 168)

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
